Caring for your Jewellery
Jewellery with a hand painted or oxidised finish
To protect the hand painted surface and prolong the life of your jewellery, care should be taken to remove jewellery before swimming, showering, bathing etc. Avoid contact with perfumes and cleaning products such as bleaches etc. Please do not use silver dips and silver polishes as these will damage the painted surface.
To clean the silver rim of hand painted pieces use a silver polishing cloth (available from most supermarkets and department stores). Place the cloth on a flat surface and hold it taut with your fingers. I often cut the cloth into small managable pieces as it's easier to use this way. Place the pendant or earring face down on the cloth and gently rub back and forward a few times. This will restore the shine on the rim of your piece of jewellery without damaging the painted finish. A soft clean brush (I use a make up/cosmetic brush ) can be used to gently brush off any dust or debris from the painted surface.
