This privacy policy describes how, when I collect, use,  share and store information you give to me when making a purchase, contact me or use other parts of this site maeberryjewellery.co.uk.co.uk. In order to comply with the new data laws, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 1998 in the UK.

I/We/Data Controller refers to Maeberry Jewellery, owned by Carol Bruce. You/Data Subject/client/customer refers to any users of this site.

This privacy policy does not apply to the practices of any third party sites that my site may link to in any way.

What I collect

In order for me to fulfil any order you place you give me details such as your email address, postal address, name and contact telephone number. You may also choose to give me more details such as information relating to a custom order, commission or bespoke piece.

Why I need your information and how I use it

  • In order to provide a full and efficient service to you as needed, such as when I use your information to fulfil your order, to settle disputes, or to provide customer support;

  • when you have provided your affirmative consent, which you may revoke at any time, such as by signing up for my mailing list;

  • if necessary to comply with a legal obligation or court order or in connection with a legal claim, such as retaining information about your purchases if required by tax law;

  • as necessary for the purpose of my legitimate interests, if those legitimate interests are not overridden by the interests, rights or freedoms of the data subject such as 1) providing and improving my services. I use your information to provide the services you requested and in my legitimate interest to improve my services.


Sharing your details.

  • Service providers, I engage certain trusted third parties to perform functions and provide services to my business, such as website services, newsletter subscription services, delivery companies, card processing companies, web hosting, website design. I will share your personal information with these third parties, but only to the extent necessary to perform these services.

Data retention

I retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide you with my services and as described in my Privacy Policy. However, I may also be required to retain this information to comply with my legal obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce my agreements. I generally keep your data for the following time period: 2 years.

Your Rights
