Sterling silver stud earrings in a striking colour combination of spiced orange and turquoise. The posts and butterfly scrolls are also sterling silver.
Dimensions; Domed disc approx 10mm diameter.
Made from 0.50 mm thick sterling silver sheet.
Each pair of studs is made individually by hand, by me in my Edinburgh studio. This means that there may be tiny variations in size and shape. Once made, I hand paint each pair with enamel paint in a variety of colours and designs and finish with protective coats of gloss varnish.
Please note that colour reproduction on the internet is not precise and due to the many variations in monitors and browsers the colour may vary slightly from the image shown.
Jewellery with a hand painted or oxidised finish.
To protect the hand painted or oxidised surface and prolong the life of your jewellery, care should be taken to remove jewellery before swimming, showering, bathing etc. Avoid contact with perfumes, hairspray and cleaning products such as bleaches etc. Please do not use silver dips and silver polishes as these will damage the painted surface.
To clean the silver rim of hand painted pieces use a silver polishing cloth (available from most supermarkets and department stores). Place the cloth on a flat surface and hold it taut with your fingers. Place the pendant or earring face down on the cloth and gently rub back and forward a few times. This will restore the shine on the rim of your piece of jewellery without damaging the painted finish. A soft clean brush (I use a make up/cosmetic brush ) can be used to gently brush off any dust or debris from the painted surface.
